The Latin Quarterconnects the fifth and the sixth arrondissement of Paris. Located on the left bank of the Seine, The Latin Quarter is a very lively area from which to enjoy your apartment rental in Paris. Home to a number of University campuses, there is always an animated ambience and buzz to the area thanks to the many students that live and study in the Latin Quarter. Head down to the Rue des Écoles and you will find a number of arthouse cinemas including LeChampo, le Grand Action and l'Action Ecole. These theaters host a great range of film programs. Step out of your Latin Quarter apartment in Paris and then visit the famous Boulevard Saint-Michel. Stroll down this enchanting street to the Lycée Saint Louis, La Sorbonne. Head back to the Pantheon and visit the cemetery where some of the biggest names in the history of France are buried. You can also see the famous Sainte-Geneviève Library, still in the same building it was back in 1842. After that, head back down to the Luxembourg gardens to relax or have a coffee. If you have chosen your holiday rental in Paris to survey the area in search of the museum you will find the l’Hôtel de la Monnaie, L’Hôtel de Clunywhich houses an incredible range of medieval artifacts. Worth a visit, is also the palace of Luxembourg and its exquisite gardens, currently the seat of the French Senate. Want a great restaurant? Try the oldest restaurant in the Paris, ‘Le Procope’, established in 1686. Robespierre and Marat, the two of the greatest figures of the French Revolution used the restaurant as a meeting place.
