My husband and I stayed in Maison Vaugirard during early September 2011, while on a working holiday in Europe. This apartment was a sensational find, very spacious and extremely comfortable, we enjoyed nights in cooking our own meals, worked with fast wireless internet, slept in quiet and enjoyed lunch in the private courtyard. We were lucky to have bikes and rode into the centre of Paris in about 25 mins and found some wonderful restaurants near the Eiffel Tower. The local shops near the apartment had everything from the fresh baguettes and croissants and delicious cakes to fresh fruit and vegetables and fresh fish and meat. The metro was nearby with a 5 minute walk and a bus stop right out front of the building. I would definitely stay here again and found the owner of the apartment friendly and knowledgable, her English was excellent and she was extremely helpful with all of our questions. She left us helpful books and maps and gave great recommendations of places to visit and things to do during our Paris experience
